Jenny Rosinbloom has her fair share of bullies, and when she's by herself, she can't help but think about what they've said to her in the past. So she begins a journey of escape to find that one thing that's going to make everything right and make her smile. But along the way, she finds goodness that still disappoints. Will she ever find the piece (peace) that's going to make her smile?David Ballard is a freelance writer, poet, and author. He volunteered at Raleigh WakeMed Health & Hospitals in the Children's ER, where he collaborated with the children-patients to write poems to help them alleviate their emotional upsets springing from their sicknesses and injuries. From his encounters with these children, Mr. Ballard gained keen insight into the viewpoints of children and the nature of poetry as a therapeutic means to treat suffering. Mr. Ballard has liberally drawn on his experience with these children in this work to fully capture the young adult voice.
