The Bible says to pray without ceasing, for prayer is the way of communicating with God. It is a way to connect with your Maker, build an intimate relationship with Him, and open up to God. Pray before the days of adversity come, when the days of sorrows have not come, when there is no pain, agony or trouble, when life seems interesting and seems to be that life is a bed of roses. Learn to pray ahead of time because life has different seasons, the time to plant and harvest. The Bible made us understand that there is time, season, and purpose for everything under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Jesus also promised us in John 16:33 that: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
