Extraordinary Expectations is a novel by Charles Dickens initially serialized taking all things together the Year Round from 1 December 1860 to August 1861. It is viewed as one of his most prominent and most refined books, and is one of his most enduringly mainstream, having been adjusted for stage and screen more than 250 times. Extraordinary Expectations is written in a semi-self-portraying style, and is the tale of the vagrant Pip, composing his life from his beginning of adolescence until adulthood.
