Final Fantasy IX marked the third and final installment in the series for the Sony Playstation. Unlike the other two Final Fantasy games released for the Playstation, FFIX is set in a medieval era, displaying few signs of advanced technological development. This one of the features, in addition to the general gameplay and graphics, displayed in the game which is reminiscent of the first six Final Fantasy games. Overall, it's a delight to the fans who had felt that the previous two Final Fantasy games had lost the general spirit of Final Fantasy, but there have been many criticisms that FFIX is too easy, bland or boring. Yet it's another instalment in a great series and it must definitely not be missed out.
