This live concert, performed at the Semper Opera Dresden on 22nd September 1998, features Giuseppe Sinopoli conducting the Staatskapelle Dresden in a celebration of 450 years of the Sachsische Staatskapelle Dresden. The centrepiece is Richard Strauss's EINE ALPENSYMPHONI, prefaced by Vivaldi's DRESDEN concerto and overtures by Weber and Wagner.
