Seal II 30th Anniversary Deluxe edition

In celebration of the 30th anniversary, Seal's sophomore album, "Seal" (often referred to as "Seal II"), is being reissued in a remastered deluxe edition with an expanded tracklist. The 2LP edition features 5 bonus tracks in addition to the 2024 remasters of the original album tracks. The bonus tracks include the B-side "Blues In E", "Fly Like An Eagle" (a Steve Miller Band cover) and a version of "Manic Depression" recorded with guitar icon Jeff Beck.

Seal's second self-titled album, released in May 1994, built upon the impressive success of his 1991 debut, catapulting him to new heights with the global hit, "Kiss From A Rose." Produced by Trevor Horn, this album blends pop, dance, and soul across 11 tracks, including notable songs like "Prayer For The Dying" and the collaborative "Bring It On" with Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman of Prince and the Revolution. The album also features a duet, "If I Could," with the legendary Joni Mitchell.

Achieving significant acclaim, the album reached the top of the U.K. charts and climbed to No. 15 in the U.S., earning a 4x platinum certification. The song "Kiss From A Rose" gained further prominence after being featured in the 1995 blockbuster film "Batman Forever." This exposure helped it ascend to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and secured Seal three Grammy® Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
