ChoreographyONE is the first in a new series of CDs designed especially for short choreographic works, such as exams and end of year shows. This volume contains 23 tracks edited from Contemporary Dance Music Vols 1-8, and 2 brand new bonus tracks. Biography -------- Michael Price has quickly become one of the UK's most sought after composers, music editors and arrangers. Following a 5 year period producing and programming on projects as diverse as X-MEN and THE IRON GIANT he is already scoring his 7th feature film, having also composed notable additional music for Alfonso Cuaron's CHILDREN OF MEN and Edgar Wright's HOT FUZZ. Michael's significant achievements as a music editor include Peter Jackson's trilogy THE LORD OF THE RINGS, Richard Curtis' LOVE ACTUALLY, BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON and also CHILDREN OF MEN. After initially developing a successful career as a composer for contemporary dance, in 1996 Michael was invited by composer MICHAEL KAMEN to orchestrate and program electronic sounds for the Paramount movie EVENT HORIZON. This led to a long working relationship encompassing a number of highly successful film scores in London, LA and Prague, and concerts in Berlin, New York, San Francisco and Geneva. Following the award-winning production of the score to BAND OF BROTHERS (HBO/Spielberg/Hanks), Michael was then approached to music edit on THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING for New Line Cinema. He subsequently became lead music editor for the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy, and also began a close relationship with WORKING TITLE on films like LOVE ACTUALLY, BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON and NANNY McPHEE. As a music editor, Michael has been nominated for 4 MPSE GOLDEN REEL AWARDS, winning in 2001 for THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. Now established as a successful composer in his own right Michael has forged strong working relationships with both fellow composers, such as DAVID ARNOLD, with whom he has written and arranged on a number of projects, and also directors such as ALFONSO CUARON for whom Michael has composed on three recent projects. Michael has recently completed writing the score for Working Title's WILD CHILD, directed by Nick Moore and starring Emma Roberts.
