Ben Holt is a talented singer-songwriter based now on the sunny south coast of the UK. Ben began his musical career playing drums in local Bristol band 'Benny Profane' until a period of travelling the world took him away from the scene for some time. It was at this point that Ben began penning his own songs, albeit without any kind of musical instrument at the time. His creativity flowed whilst experiencing amazing places and a hidden maturity soon blossomed. The influences came thick and fast with The Beach Boys, The Beatles and the Britpop bands of the early to mid nineties getting an almost obsessive amount of CD wear and tear. Once back in his homeland, Ben began putting his ideas into practice and the early beginnings of a solo project emerged. Almost ten years on, Ben Holt is an accomplished and experienced singer-songwriter, with a real 'band' sound to his music which sets him apart from others in that category. The songs are written, recorded and mixed in Ben's home studio using a variety of electronic equipment and digital musical instruments. The music that awaits the listener is like watching thousands of starlings ascend into the dusky sky - an elating experience! His vocal style is somewhere between Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and Fran Healy of Travis, with a soft edge and comfortable range. What is evident is that every song warms the heart and has catchy singalong choruses which stay with you. Ben Holt is much more than just a singer songwriter, he is an engineer of modern day music that people of today will stop what they are doing and listen to. Let the music begin......
