Change Is Gonna Come Deacon Robert Bishop, a native of Snow Hill Maryland, came to New Rochelle, New York in 1959, and what was to have been a one-week family visit became a permanent residence. Deacon is one of six children born to Lillian and the late William Bishop. Deacon Bishop has been the CEO of Bishop Home Improvement Business for over thirty years. His son Robert Jr. is his business partner. Beside every successful man is a good woman. Robert has been married to Catherine Bishop for over forty years. He is grateful for his son Robert Jr., his daughter-in-law Leslie and his granddaughter Jamiee. His life long desire has been to sing and perform gospel concerts all over the world. God has blessed him with a beautiful voice that will make his dream a reality. He has had the privilege to sing with The Mighty Clouds, Shirley Ceaser and the late James Cleveland and others. He was also a member of The Gospel Seekers of New Rochelle, performing in concerts through the tri-state area and beyond for more than twenty-five years. Deacon Bishop has been a member of Union Baptist Church in New Rochelle, NY for more than forty years, where he serves a church treasurer, a deacon and a member of the male chorus. Deacon Bishop presently sings with the Mayor's Interfaith Choir of Mount Vernon New York. This choir was privileged to perform on the well-known Bobby Jones Gospel show in Miami Florida in 2004. "God Is In Everything ", the title of Bishop's first CD was released in 2001.
