Popularly referred to as the "Queen of Gospel Music," Through The Caravans - the gospel music group she founded - Walker has been nicknamed "Star Maker" for breaking out such legendary artists as James Cleveland, Bessie Griffin, Shirley Caesar, and Dorothy Norwood to name a few. Her career has earned her a Grammy Award along with 10 other nominations, 5 Gold Records, 3 Dove Awards and an induction into the 2001 Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.
