The Queen of Latin Blues is back with her third studio album on A1 RECORDS! "Visiones" will be released on black vinyl and as a digipack CD! For VANESA HARBEK, "Visiones" is an affair of the heart. Not only because the musician and painter, who has lived in Berlin since 2016, now wants to finally conquer Europe with this album, but also because it has become the most personal work of the 43-year-old Argentine to date. In 12 songs, which she sings partly in English and partly in Spanish, VANESA HARBEK takes the listener on a musical journey through her life and soul. She expresses herself not only musically, but also visually, because for every title on the album there is a painting by the South American artist, who - by the way - also exhibits her works in a Berlin gallery. Her musical trademark of mixing traditional blues with soul elements and tango has earned the singer and guitarist, who also plays the trumpet excellently, the nickname "the female Carlos Santana". It's nonsense both geographically (Mexico vs. Argentina) and musically (Salsa vs. Tango), but what both have in common is excellent guitar playing and blues with a South American flair. Her love of tango comes through in the title "Vuelvo Al Sur". It's a cover by Argentine tango revolutionary ASTOR PIAZZOLLA, the only track on "Visiones" that wasn't written by her. "Visiones" was produced by the bassist legend and A1 RECORDS operator MARTIN ENGELIEN (including KLAUS LAGE, Tabaluga), who also recorded the bass on the album and is part of VANESA's live band. Also on board are BERNI BOVENS on the drums, the renowned jazz pianist and keyboarder THOMAS HUFSCHMIDT, and the internationally renowned percussionist PITTI HECHT (including SCORPIONS, BOBBY KIMBALL).
